Summer Early Childhood Music and Movement Classes at the Community Center in Guilford. June 24 – July 10.

The following classes will meet twice a week for three weeks (6 classes):
 
Tuesdays and Thursdays (June 24, 26; July 1, 3, 8, 10)

Tiny Dancers II
(12-20 months with parent)   10:00-10:40 am

Tiny Dancers III
(20-30 months with parent)   10:45-11:25 am
 
Rhythmic Movement
(2 ½ - 3 ½ years with parent)  11:30 am-12:10 pm

Fee for 6 classes:  Residents - $99  Non-residents - $110
 
 
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
 
Tiny Dancers – Bring music into your child’s life. Learn musical games that you can continue at home. You will learn songs, rhymes with clapping, tapping, bouncing and tickling and circle games. Comfortable clothing, no shoes.
 
Rhythmic Movement – Learning music through movement, your children will be introduced to their first music vocabulary while listening for dynamics, tempo and phrasing. Movement with songs and props such as hoops, scarves, and ribbons encourages creative movement. A variety of rhythmic instruments will be explored. This class serves as both a pre-instrumental and pre-dance class. Comfortable clothing, no shoes.
 
 
REGISTRATION
Complete a Neighborhood Music School registration form (available online or from the front desk at the Center) and leave it (without payment) at the Community Center where it will be collected by NMS staff. Class placement will be confirmed via telephone, email or mail. Payment is due at the time of the first class session. For further information, please call 203-624-5189 ext 18.
